Che cos'è?
Sawn boards from broadleaved trees - what furniture, flooring, cabinets and barrels are made of.
Perché è importante?
Hardwood is a different business from softwood in every respect: graded for the amount of clear face you can cut out of a board rather than for strength, sold in random widths and lengths rather than standard sizes, and priced species by species. A walnut board and an oak board are not substitutes at any price.
