Che cos'è?
A structural panel made from long wood strands laid in layers and pressed - the cheaper sheathing that largely replaced plywood on house walls and roofs.
Perché è importante?
OSB can be made from small, fast-grown, low-value trees that no sawmill or plywood mill wants, which is why it undercut plywood on price and took most of the North American sheathing market. Its price moves with framing lumber because it is sold to the same builders at the same time.
