Wat is het?
Logs. The tree after felling and before anything has been done to it except cutting it to length.
Waarom is het van belang?
This is the number that tells you how much wood an economy actually harvests for use rather than for burning. Every other product on this shelf is cut, peeled, chipped or cooked out of it, and the split between sawlogs and pulpwood decides which mill a tree is worth sending to.
